CFB Week 4 Early
Saturday again… welcome back after another very strong week in CFB for us thanks to Baker Mayfield and Leonard Fournette. We will follow the same schedule again today for week 4 where we will play: 2 cash, 2 GPP on FanDuel, 1 cash, 2 GPP on DraftKings and 1 cash, 1 GPP on Fantasy Aces.
- Trevone Boykin
- Patrick Mahomes
- Matt Johnson
- Seth Russell
- Jerrod Heard
- Drew Hare
Trevone Boykin and Patrick Mahomes – Boykin and Mahomes are facing each other as TCU plays Texas Tech in a big early season confernce game. Boykin and the frogs are a -7 favorite against Tech but we are expecting this game to be very fast paced and competitive. The total is now up to 84 which is definitely the highest total of the early slate. Both quarterbacks are the best/safest way to get exposure to this game and Mahomes is available at a nice discount. You will definitely want to handcuff Jakeem Grant with Patrick Mahomes and Josh Doctson with Trevone Boykin.
Matt Johnson – Matt Johnson is the one top tier guy who lacks big name value and he goes under owned because of that lacking name value. Johnson is playing in the next best game this week with a total between 75-79 points. Johnson is going to throw for basically 400+ yards most weeks and this week should be no different. Strong play in all formats this week.
Jerrod Heard – Heard had a massive game last week against Cal. Heard is a high upside play that comes with a good deal of risk because he is a young QB who doesn’t have a ton of job security yet. Much of the upside comes with the running game where Heard will likely score at least 1 TD on the ground in this matchup.
- Leonard Fournette
- Jordan Howard
- Joel Bouagnon
- Vic Enwere
- Wendell Smallwood
- Patrick Skov
- Chris Hairston
Leonard Fournette – Fournette is another guy we have targetted heavily and will continue to do so early in the season. Fournette is the real deal and a legit Hiesman candidate if he can stay healthy. The usage is going to increase dramatically this season as we are projecting 25+ carries again this week against Auburn. If you’re into vegas player props you will want to checkout the TD prop on Fournette this week at -400…. That is just a ridiculous line. Solid play in all formats. That was a copy and paste from last week… what can we say about this kid? He is physically ready for the NFL as a sophomore. Fournette is a very physical running back who made the switch from linebacker. This guy is going to win the Hiesman this year and win YOU your DFS contests in the process. Fournette is the clear cut top play.
Jordan Howard – Howard is a high floor player in his new role with Indiana this season. Howard will once again be the guy who is under owned at this pricing tier with Fournette in this range. Howard is a great tournament play but there is absolutely no reason to go here in your cash games.
Joel Bouagnon – Who? Many of you probably have no idea who this kid is but you might have a better idea later this afternoon. Bouagnon is coming off a tough matchup vs Ohio State and he is just flat out too cheap on FanDuel at $6,000. This kid will be 7500-8000 next week if the Northern Illinois game makes the slate.
Vic Enwere – Vic is another guy that has basically come up out of nowhere due to an injury. He received a heavy workload filling in last week and should be in a similar position again this week.
- Roger Lewis
- Jakeem Grant
- Josh Doctson
- Kenny Golladay
- Jay Lee
- Isaiah Jones
Also consider: Devin Lauderdale, Reginald Davis, Isaiah Ford, Jovon Durante, KaVontae Turpin and Chuck Wade
Jakeem Grant – Jakeem Grant is a top play at WR in the early slate. We touched on the Texas Tech total in the QB section with Mahomes. Grant is easily the #1 option for Mahomes and he is just flat out too cheap on FanDuel where he is still less than $7k. Don’t think about.. just do it.
Kenny Golladay – Another Northern Illinois player that is under priced following a matchup with Ohio State. UNI won’t play many teams of the calibar. The price is going to come up next week so enjoy the discount.
Josh Doctson – Doctson is the obvious top play if you have plenty of salary cap to spend. Doctson is the #1 receiver for Trevone Boykin and we have already touched on the total in this game. This game scored over 100 points last season… yes, over 100 points.
- Tyler Higbee
- Bucky Hodges
- Josiah Price
- Rodney Mills
- Cam Serigne
Tyler Higbee – Higbee grabs the top spot once again this week at tight end. We are only 3 weeks into the season but many of you are now well aware of how poor of a DFS position TE is in the college game. Higbee is one of the few tight ends who receieves targets on par with mid range wide receivers.
Bucky Hodges – Hodges is an interesting play who isn’t getting a ton of targets but the targets he has received are largely coming in the red zone. Hodges is a fine tournament play who has multiple TD upside like he showed last week. Higbee has the lower floor and should be used before Hodges in cash games.
Rodney Mills – Mills is a total wildcard tournament play who could see extra passes this week if Notre Dame is able to slow Tajae Sharpe.
Cam Serigne – Serigne is the best “punt” option this week with the lowest price of the usable tight ends in the early slate. The Indiana defense just isn’t very good. Serigne is a nice play in all formats at this price point.
